Blackchops

Blackchops is a British-style pub located on the Fontanka embankment, across from the circus. The venue was created by the Dreamteam restaurant group, founded by Alexei Burov and Anton Skakodub.

Blackchops' interior blends the elegance of a classic British club with the atmosphere of a cozy steakhouse.

The space is done in deep dark tones with plenty of natural wood, leather and marble. Old English paintings, antique light fixtures and substantial furniture evoke a traditional London pub. The centerpiece is an 8-meter oak-and-marble bar counter, surrounded by comfortable bar chairs. The large panoramic windows fill the room with natural light and offer a picturesque view of the Fontanka embankment.

Blackchops' menu offers British dishes with an emphasis on meat and traditional recipes. Among the mains: a smash burger, a Welsh breakfast with salmon and vongole, and a pork tomahawk. For dessert: a signature Napoleon, a maple tart, a dark-berry babka, and a vatrushka with vanilla cream and raspberry. The bar list includes beer from the house Dreamteam Brew brewery, collectible whisky and scotch, classic and signature gin and tonics, and wines with an emphasis on reds.
